About Accessible Me

Accessible Me exists to help organisations remove barriers that stop people from learning, working, and taking part fully.

Not through fear.
Not through jargon.
And not by assuming people are doing things wrong on purpose.

Most accessibility issues aren’t caused by bad intent.
They’re caused by systems being designed for an “average” human who doesn’t really exist.

What we do

We help teams:

Accessibility Audits

Understand where barriers really show up

Remediation & Support

Make make practical improvements they can sustain

Training, Coaching & Consulting

Build accessibility into everyday decisions

Our work covers:

learning and training

digital content

internal systems and processes

public-facing information and services

We focus heavily on cognitive accessibility, because that’s often where people struggle first - especially when time is tight or change is happening fast.

How we work

We start small.

We explain things plainly.

We move at a pace that feels manageable.

Our approach is:

  • empathy-led

  • evidence-informed

  • grounded in real-world use

We don’t assume prior knowledge.

We don’t judge where you’re starting from.

And we don’t push long-term commitments before they make sense.

Who we work with

Accessible Me works with:

  • L&D teams
  • HR and people leads
  • councils and public sector organisations
  • marketing and communications teams

From small teams to large, complex organisations.

What they have in common is a genuine desire to do accessibility well - even if they’re still figuring out how.

Our mission

Design access from the start, so inclusion becomes the default - not an afterthought.

It’s that systems will move faster than humans can safely keep up.

Accessibility helps organisations:

  • reduce errors
  • prevent burnout
  • improve decision-making
  • build trust

It’s not an add-on.

It’s part of building resilient, human-centred systems.

Our values

Clarity

We remove the jargon and complexity, making accessibility easy to understand, talk about and act on.

Kindness

We support with empathy and respect. No shame. No judgement. Just real help that empowers.

Practicality

We focus on what works in real life - solutions people can actually use, build into systems, and sustain over time.

A final word

Accessible Me isn’t here to overwhelm you.

We’re here to help you make progress - calmly, clearly, and with confidence.

If you’re taking accessibility seriously, you’re already doing something right.

Work with us

We are expanding our pool of cognitive accessibility testers with lived experience to support a large digital learning project.

The Accessible Me Manifesto

Everyone deserves access.

Everyone deserves the chance to learn, to contribute, to feel part of something bigger.

But too often, barriers are designed in without thinking.

  • A video without captions.
  • A document no one can read.
  • A process that shuts people out.
  • A workplace that wasn’t built for every mind and body.

We don’t accept that.

We design access from the start - not bolted on at the end.

What we believe

We believe accessibility should be:
  • simple
  • human
  • practical
  • kind
  • sustainable
  • built into every touchpoint

What we do

  • We help organisations see what’s in the way.
  • We build confidence by guiding, not judging.
  • We create tools that remove friction and unlock potential.

Why we do it

Because when access is designed in, everyone moves forward.

  • People learn.
  • Teams grow.
  • Businesses thrive.

Accessible Me exists to remove barriers - so everyone can learn, work and live fully.
